First and foremost, the The U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate each voted to keep the loan limit for U.S.-backed mortgages of single- family homes at $729,750 until 2011, effectively holding interest rates down for a large swath of U.S. home buyers. The limit was scheduled to shrink to $625,500 at the start of 2010.Here is a link to the article:

Changes in Loan Limits May Affect You!

Just a reminder that the Conforming Loan Limit is set to go back down from the current to $729,750 back down to $625,500 at the end of 2009. This means that starting January 1, 2010 any loan amount over $625,500 will be considered a Jumbo Loan which carries significantly higher interest rates.
